Käärmeharju is a long and technical gravel rally track on a high ridge. One 1,553 m lap rises and falls through about 33 meters of elevation, so the race is two laps instead of three, for a total of 3.1 km.

About the track
The lap begins on a long, almost flat straight. At the north end a right-hander keeps tightening towards a late apex, and its banking grows as the corner closes. Both the east and the west side of the ridge then string together uphill and downhill changes of direction, where short banked sections switch from one side to the other.
A checkpoint follows every change of direction, 20 in all, so shortcuts never produce a valid lap. Potholes, washouts and corrugation cover the gravel and 26 water puddles wait along the way, but the start area and the braking line into the tightening right-hander are kept clear, so the challenge comes from the corners rather than from luck.

Käärmeharju Night runs the same road after dark: the fog closes in and your headlights switch on automatically. Käärmeharju Mirror and Käärmeharju Night Mirror drive the lap in the opposite direction, so every corner becomes a new challenge.
