About the track

Three laps make a 3.1 km race, and all 14 checkpoints must be passed in order on every lap, so cutting across the grass never pays. Most of the banked corners lean gently towards the inside, and the wide road leaves room for long powerslides.

The gravel is full of character: potholes, dips, patches, washouts, slumped edges and corrugation, plus 18 water puddles that throw spray around the car. With no jumps and plenty of room between the verges, it is a good place to learn the handbrake and practice counter-steering before moving on to the narrower tracks.

Day, night and mirror

Mäkilaakso Night runs the same road after dark: the fog closes in and your headlights switch on automatically. Mäkilaakso Mirror and Mäkilaakso Night Mirror drive the lap in the opposite direction, so every corner becomes a new challenge. Each of the four versions keeps its own personal best lap in your browser.
