About the track
The lap first follows an uneven outer arc, then cuts across the forest on a long run from one o'clock towards eight o'clock and turns back on another long run to three o'clock before returning to the start area. Tight, asymmetric corner complexes alternate with wide, sweeping arcs that keep turning in the same direction.
Three long crests lift the road gently, with about 6 meters between its lowest and highest point, and eight sharp jumps break up the outer arc, both runs across the forest and the return arc, while the technical direction changes stay free of jumps. Every real apex banks inward, the tightest by about six degrees, and 30 checkpoints guard the corner complexes and both long runs. Rocks of many sizes sit beside the road and 14 water puddles wait on the gravel.
Day, night and mirror
Metsäpätkä Night runs the same road after dark: the fog closes in and your headlights switch on automatically. Metsäpätkä Mirror and Metsäpätkä Night Mirror drive the lap in the opposite direction, so every corner becomes a new challenge. Each of the four versions keeps its own personal best lap in your browser.
